Synopsis
When A-rank swordsman Alec Deer accepts a quest from old friend and local guildmaster Zack Ciel, he expects a long and grueling ordeal: camping outdoors for up to a month whilst struggling to survive monster attacks, inhospitable environments, and the flagging morale of party members. Yet Zack promises that the manticore hunt will end swiftly and successfully with the help of Shiori Izumi—a special B-rank support mage in his care. Shiori may possess weak magic, but her ability to combine different elements and wield spells with precision is rarely seen in this world. Calling herself a "housekeeping mage," she easily provides the adventurers with a life of convenience during their travels. Despite being well-liked by most others, Shiori appears lonely in Alec's eyes. Little does he know that her feelings of isolation stem from the secret of where she truly comes from.
